Cellometer AutoT4 is a compact, simple to use, automated cell counter designed to improve accuracy, repeatability, and throughput compared to manual cell counting with the hemacytometer. It uses brightfield microscopy images to analyze cell samples to determine cell concentration and trypan blue viability.
Best Suited For:
- total cell concentration for highly viable cell population
- live cell concentration and viability using trypan blue
- cell size measurements
- identify and count cells based on cell size difference
- capture and store sell images

Fast, Accurate Automated Cell Counter
Ideal For Determining Concentration And Trypan Blue Viability And Cell Lines
Minimal Sample Prep
Disposable counting chambers is the only consumable needed to run Cellometer AutoT4. Only 20 µL of sample is required, in the chambers load in seconds, and when done can be disposed, eliminating the need for coverslips and washing between samples.
Trypan Blue Viability
Trypan blue treated cells are automatically counted as live or dead, and the percentage viability is automatically calculated. Live counted cells are indicated by a green circle on screen, and dead cells by a red circle.
On-screen Imaging
No two cells are the same, which is why live cell morphology can be immediately viewed on screen, and counted cells are indicated on screen for further analysis. Accounting results are indicated for each cell in images can be saved or exported for a secure record of all your cell counts.
Fast! From loading counting chamber to view cell morphology and counting, the Cellometetr Auto T4 typically produces the cell concentration and viability in less than 30 seconds!
Exclude Cellular Debris
Because the Cellometer AutoT4 recognizes cells based on size, brightness, and morphology, cellular debris can be excluded from counting results, ensuring accurate data.
Heterogeneous Cell Samples
Minimum and maximum cell size parameters can be set to only count specific cells in a heterogeneous sample. This is ideal for counting dendritic cells cultured from PBMC, or counting PBMC's amongst platelets.
Irregular Cell Shapes
The Cellometer AutoT4 can recognize and count irregular shaped cells by adjusting the roundness cell setting. This feature is ideal for counting RD cells were activated T-cells
Cell Size Measurement
Unlike manual counting, the Cellometer AutoT4 measures both individual and mean cell sizes, and can generate size distribution histograms for all counted cells. Multiple histograms can be overlaid for determining changes in cell sizes over time.
Changes in Cell Diameter
Because the Cellometer AutoT4 generates individual cell size measurements, multiple samples can be overlaid on one histogram, enabling analysis of change in cell diameter over time, such as when counting SF9 or SF21 cells. Saved images can be viewed and counted later to analyze changes in morphology over time.
MOVE BEYOND CELL COUNTING TO TRUE INFORMATION SYSTEMS!
With a single mouse click, you can save the sample image with data to disk, print the results, display cell size distribution and a histogram, or populate an Excel spreadsheet for additional analysis.

Whilst availability of magnetic nanoparticles, and their use, is significantly increasing, until now there has been no commercially available system to enable hyperthermia testing of these particles in specific applications at a range of relevant frequencies and field strengths.
nanoTherics has recognised the difficulty in sourcing off-the-shelf equipment which meets this need yet still allows for flexibility in choice of frequencies used. The magnetherm has been designed specifically for this purpose and operates at frequencies from 50 kHz up to 1.2 MHz and field strengths up to 20 kA/m (25 mT), the optimum range for in vivo applications. Since the heating capacity of magnetic nanoparticles will vary, depending on size, shape and material properties, it is critical to be able to evaluate heating capacity over a range of frequencies.

WPA CO8000 Cell Density Meter by Biochrom
Features
- Single beam LED cell density meter measures OD at 600nm
- Small, portable with rechargeable battery
- Long lifetime LED source with little maintainance needed
- Easy to use, clean and sterilise
- Stores up to 99 results to download later
Description
The Biochrom WPA CO8000 is a robust, easy to use instrument dedicated to the measuring of the density of cells in suspension such as E.coli, yeast, cells and other cell cultures. This hand held instrument has an integral battery allowing it to be taken to where the cell cultures are growing e.g. in incubation cabinets, under anaerobic conditions or even in a fume hood or safety cabinets.
This robust instrument will accept a variety of cuvettes and tubes- including 10, 12, and 16mm diameter test tubes meaning it can be used with Erlenmeyer side arm flasks. With no warm up time, just switch it on and it’s ready to use giving you results that are comparable to larger, more expensive spectrophotometers. The cell density of the cultures can be measured and the results stored in the memory. The results are given in Absorbance Units (OD). Once all measurements are taken, the up to 99 sample results can be viewed on the easy to read screen or the instrument can be connected to a PC or printer and the results downloaded.
This low maintenance instrument uses an indefinite life LED with fibre optics and no filters. The rechargable battery automatically recharges when connected to the mains and allows up to 1 month's normal use (under normal conditions) on a single charge. It is easily cleaned with ethanol or sterilized with formaldehyde or ethylene oxide.
It is important to note that cell cultures are turbid samples , so the Absorbance (OD) measured is due to light scattering, and not due to molecular absorption. Clumping together of cells will also affect readings, so the medium they are suspended in will also make a difference. This means that the actual reading obtained is very dependent on the collecting area of the detector after the sample and the optical geometry of the system. These vary depending on the make and model of instrument, so differences in readings between types of instruments are to be expected.
To use this instrument with cells other than yeast or E.coli known concentrations / cell counts (with replicates to gauge error limits) should be plotted against measured OD600 to construct a calibration curve.

As such, the Cellometer Auto 1000 is ideal for researchers looking to count cells in the hood. The built-in computer with speedy i3 processor can be lined to a network via USB cable or a USB drive can be used to automatically save counting data.
The large 10" Auto 1000 touch-screen enables simple operation and user-friendly visualization of cell morphology and counted cells. Easily select saved assays with optimized counting parameters for specific cell types.
NOT a Countess! This is the KING OF BRIGHTFIELD CELL COUNTERS!
Let's face it, counting cells can be a royal pain in the you-know-what! Counting 1 x 106 cells takes approximately 5 minutes with a manual hemacytometer. Counting live and dead cells sometimes takes twice as long. The Cellometer Auto 1000 Cell Viability Counter calculates cell count and concentration for live and dead cells and % viability in < 10 seconds. With its brushed metal casing, large 10" touchscreen, and fast internal processor, it will take only a few minutes to realize this is the cell counter you have been looking for. Try the competition and then contact us for a free two week evaluation in the lab.
It truly is this easy!
Counted cell images for data verification
No two cells are the same. With the Auto 1000 Cell Counter, cell morphology can be immediately viewed on-screen in the bright field image. Counted cells can be viewed for further verification that cells in the sample are being imaged and analyzed properly.
Users can confirm that:
- Cells are counted correctly based on size and shape.
- Cells within clusters are being counted individually.
- Debris is being excluded.

The BioDrop CUVETTE micro-volume cuvette is an innovative solution for accurate low volume spectroscopy, providing the simplest way for life scientists to accurately quantify microlitre volumes of DNA and protein in almost any UV/Vis spectrophotometer. The BioDrop CUVETE micro-volume cuvette overcomes many of the disadvantages of conventional low volume instruments and is a valuable tool for the modern life sciences laboratory combining ease of use and greater accuracy than other techniques.
BioDrop CUVETE enables researchers the opportunity to convert conventional UV/Vis spectrophotometers into a low-volume UV/Vis spectrophotometer for a very reasonable price. They are ideal for nucleic acid (DNA/RNA) measurements, proteins, microarrays, and bacterial cultures. No dilution is required to perform the measurement and ~1ul of sample is needed. This enables researchers to preserve precious samples.
The BioDrop CUVETTE also offer exceptional measurement accuracy and the wide measurement range (7ng/ul - 12,000 ng/ul) means you do not have to worry about changing pathlengths. Simple to use and easy to clean, the BioDrop micro-volume cuvettes' robust design means they will withstand the wear and tear of daily use. Included with the BioDrop cuvette is a bubble viewer, which enables end users to inspect the sample for impurities such as dust or bubbles.
